Product overview

Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used for gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers and Helicobacter pylori eradication regimens.

Pharmaceutical pellets are small, free-flowing spherical units filled into capsules or compressed into MUPS tablets. Dividing a dose across many pellets gives more reproducible gastric transit and release than a single-unit tablet.

Enteric-coated (EC) pellets carry a polymer coat that stays intact in the acidic stomach and dissolves at the higher pH of the small intestine, protecting acid-sensitive drugs and delaying release.
